The object of this game is to guess the sequence of four colored pegs the computer has selected at random from the colored circles to the right.
You start by filling the holes in the bottom row with different colored pegs, and each time you have completed a guess with four colors, the computer will respond by giving you one peg for each correct color. A black peg means that one of your pegs is the right color and it is also in the right location. A white peg means it is the right color, but it's location is incorrect. However, you will not be informed about which colors were correct. That part you will have to figure out for yourself.
If you haven't managed to guess the sequence by your 8th try, the computer will reveal it to you and the game ends.
First select which colors you want to use. You can play with two, three, four, five, or six colors. The default set contains four colors - blue,
green, red and yellow. The more colors you use, the more difficult the game will be. Clicking on a color in the field on the
right will toggle the circle around it on/off, indicating whether it will be part of
the set the computer uses in that round. Then press 'Start' to begin.
In case you wish to start over, just press 'End' to discontinue the game.
